WAYNE ESTES MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP The Jefferson County 4-H Foundation offers the Wayne Estes Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship will be in the amount of $250. The scholarship will be awarded at the discretion of the Jefferson County 4-H Foundation at the Board of Directors Annual Meeting. All Jefferson County 4-H members are eligible and encouraged to apply. All applicants must have submitted the Wayne Estes Memorial Scholarship application. Applications are now available. The application deadline is Feb. 26, 2016. The scholarship will be based upon financial need, GPA and ACT/SAT scores, 4-H experience, community service, and leadership roles. REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must have been a 4-H member for a minimum of 8 years. Applicant must have exhibited a project at a minimum of three Jefferson County 4-H Fairs PLUS the past year’s Jefferson County 4-H Fair (2015) AND the current year’s Jefferson County 4-H Fair (2016). Applicant must be a high school senior who has applied to an accredited college, university, or vocational/trade school. Scholarship will be awarded after the Jefferson County Extension office receives official enrollment notification. Scholarship will be paid directly to the college, university, or vocational/trade school.
