Members of the Ogle County Clovers and Kings and Queens 4-H clubs gathered together to
complete the preliminary round of this year's 4-H bowling tournament Feb. 7. Jordan Mingus,
Byron, of the Ogle County Clovers 4-H Club, claimed the Senior Division High Game with a
137, and Ryan Simmons, Rochelle, of the Kings and Queens 4-H Club, had the highest Junior
Division Individual Series at 227. Both of their teams advanced to the final round held Feb. 28 at
T-Byrd Lanes, Rochelle. At that event, Mingus, along with teammates Megan Ackland and
Jamie Query, both of Rochelle, won the senior division championship with a combined twogame series of 609.
