Thus, we offered a total of 64 hours of online tutoring. Students attended 26 hours.
We also offered tutoring in Math (2 hours/week) and Spanish 101/102 (1 hour/week) at IVC for 7 weeks during
the Fall 12 semester. Only 1 student came to three Math sessions, and one student to two Spanish sessions.
In their Tutoring and Learning Center evaluations for Fall 2012, around 95% of students indicated that they
would rather use in person tutoring even if online tutoring for their subjects was offered.
Since both online tutoring and IVC tutoring sessions were not well attended and the students expressed their
preference for in person tutoring, we decided to use the funds to increase in person tutoring sessions at KTD.
As a result, we were able to offer more tutoring sessions for several subjects (Statistics, ASL, Geography,
Italian, ESL, and Japanese) and saw a considerable increase in attendance for those subjects. We are continuing
offering online tutoring and tutoring at IVC per student request.
