30% Reduction = $14.1 Million = 45.5 FTE
Options:
• Close 23 county offices
• Eliminate all campus-based faculty plus 9 county offices
Loss of:
• Grant and contract resources
• Thousands of volunteers unsupported
• Fewer Oregonians with access to university knowledge
• Statewide support and advocacy
Agricultural Experiment Station :
Budget Reduction Impacts
30% Reduction = $19.5 Million = 90 FTE
Options:
• Close 12 of our 13 off-campus Experiment Stations or
• Eliminate AES funding for 10 of our 14 campus departments or
• Combination of 4-6 Experiment Stations and funding for 4-6
campus departments
Loss of:
• $15M/year grant and contract resources
• $50M/year direct and indirect economic impact
• $90M/year economic consequences from reduced R&D
• Teaching capacity
Forest Research Lab : Budget Reduction Impacts
30% Reduction = $2.1 Million =11 FTE
Options:
• Eliminate 1 large or 2 small degree programs, faculty
• Eliminate College admin and most college-level support
services, merge remaining faculty into other Colleges
Loss of (under option 1):
• $5 Million grant and contract revenues
• Industry and agency access to 20-30 new hires per year
• Mentoring for 20-30 graduate students
• New knowledge, innovations for impacts to Oregon
economy, environment, communities, new markets
