Add Random Questions to the Quiz from Question Bank
1. Create quiz shell first.
2. Click on the Final Exam link and click Edit quiz button to add questions.
3. All questions are located in Question Bank.
4. If you don’t see the questions, click Show next to Question bank contents.

5. Click drop-down menu under Select a category and find the category you want to select the
questions from.

6. With questions displayed, scroll down to Add random question from category section and
select the number of questions you wish to add to the quiz.

For example: to add 10 questions, select 10 from a drop-down menu.
7. Questions are now added to the quiz.

8. Repeat steps 5 and 6 to add more questions.
Note: Every time a user attempts the quiz, Moodle will randomly pick specified number of
questions from selected categories.
9. When finished adding questions, adjust the number of points for the Maximum grade and click
Save.
10. The quiz is now ready.
