PURPOSE:
The purpose of this bulletin is to distribute Consolidated, Person/Family Directed
Support Waiver, Administrative, Medical Assistance State Plan, and Base-funded service
definitions effective July 1, 2011.
BACKGROUND:
The proposed revisions to the service definitions were completed as a result of input,
questions, and concerns which ODP had addressed over the past fiscal year. ODP has set
additional service limitations to address budget changes. The service definitions were
revised to promote greater clarity in the scope of each service, as well as to promote
consistency in application of the definition.
DISCUSSION:
Due to comments from the field regarding the length and redundancy of the service
definitions document, the draft FY 11/12 service definition packet reflects changes to
attempt to address those concerns. These changes resulted in the following four
attachments. Attachment 1 contains the draft service definitions, Attachment 2 contains the
Management Information System Requirements which includes the system codes and
requirements, Attachment 3, contains information on the services that may be provided by
relatives, legal guardians and legally responsible individuals and the conditions that must be
met, and attachment 4, contains the services that may be provided during temporary travel
as well as the conditions that must be followed.
