Up to $1200 for domestic travel (including Caribbean and
Canada), and $1500 for international travel
$2000 or less for an individual. $4000 or less for
multidisciplinary projects

Funding Criteria
Grants awarded in the fall: October 1-June 30 of
current academic year– (Fall awards spent between
10/1/15-6/30/16)
Grants awarded in the spring: March 1-December 31
of following academic year -(Spring awards spent
3/1/16-12/31/16)


Travel for confirmed presentations,
performances, and exhibits

Research travel

Research supplies

Continuing education

Collaborative research/projects with students

Interdisciplinary research/projects

Curriculum development

Degree completion



Projects that create or enhance
international/multicultural understanding, civic
engagement, or environmental stewardship.
Faculty-student collaborative projects in
teaching, research, or service learning.
Collaborative projects across departments
submitted by faculty from different disciplines
Proposals that have a significant impact on
students, the curriculum, or the community
2 years from award date
Option 1 Grants

Clear demonstration of the connection between the
award and a plan for future scholarly activity.

Research plan is well-thought out and demonstrates a
strong likelihood of success.

Any institutional compliance (e.g. human subjects)
requirements have been met.
Strong support for the project from a mentor.
