Online/Hybrid Elementary Teacher Licensure with Option for Middle-Level Endorsement
Not everyone can move to Bemidji full-time to work towards a degree on the Bemidji State
University campus. The DLiTE Program at BSU aims to bridge this gap and extend the
opportunities and benefits of our Professional Education department to motivated students
throughout the state and beyond.
Program Format
The DLiTE program is an online/hybrid, cohort-based elementary education teacher licensure
program, spanning six semesters. Those who complete the program will earn a Bachelor of
Science degree in Elementary Education.
Nearly all of the courses in our program are offered in a hybrid format, which means a portion of
each class is conducted face-to-face in Minneapolis three times each year, while the remainder is
completed online. It is a mandatory requirement while in the program for students to meet in
person to start their courses and to take their finals each semester.
