Fixing up of values in mind is Value Inculcation.
Approaches of Value Inculcation
 Direct Approach- inculcated through curriculum/class

 Indirect Approach – inculcated through
plays/movies/stories/ incidents. Mahatma Gandhi
inculcated Truthfulness by watching Harichandra Katha
 Incidental Approach is the most effective approach
A person inculcates certain values through his/her real life
experiences.
Ex- A student becoming punctual after missing an exam
due to late coming
 Inculcation of values happens incidentally.
Process of Value Inculcation

sensitive enough to react to a situation)

Step III – Internalizing the values
( fixing up of values deep in the mind)
