Classroom Expectations for Career Education
Introduction: The purpose and objective is to encourage everyone to set some
lifelong goals including lifestyle choices and interests. We will explore different
careers and teach you job seeking skills. Along the way, you will learn a lot about
yourself, relative to your own values, strengths and weaknesses.
The course is ½ credit.
Class needs:
 Notebook
 Writing utensil…………..please come prepared, it is the
first step to success
 A GOOD ATTITUDE……PARTICIPATION IN CLASS AND GROUP
DISCUSSION IS A MUST… IT WILL ONLY ENHANCE YOUR
EXPERIENCE.
 An old sock and a white board marker
MANAGEMENT POLICIES
* you are allowed one day for everyday you are absent to make-up your work.
* Absolutely no late work will be accepted, please be responsible in meeting deadlines
* show everyone you believe in yourself and put your name on all of your papers
*show respect for all involved, do not take time away with unnecessary distractions,
disrespect, passes, tardies, etc.
* you must be in your desk when the bell rings and remain in your desk even during free
time.
Grading: total points
Based on effort, satisfactory completion of assignments, quizzes, projects, participation,
and video summaries. Cheating will earn a big fat (0). Don’t compromise your good
values.

Focus on life skills, truthfulness, trustworthiness, sense
of belonging, active listening, no putdowns, and
