ASIABOUND SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDY IN CHINA for 2014 10 NEW SCHOLARSHIPS FOR BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS STUDENTS AVAILABLE The Tasmanian School of Business and Economics is pleased to announce 10 new Asiabound Scholarships available to domestic Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Economics students to undertake study in Shanghai, China in 2014. These scholarships are each worth AUD$5000 and are available to assist students who wish to enhance their skills, expertise and potential employment prospects by experiencing a semester of study at the AIEN Institute of Shanghai Ocean University. The Tasmanian School of Business and Economics and the AIEN Institute of Shanghai Ocean University have shared a close relationship for over a decade. Our joint Business program is now in its eleventh year and has produced over three thousand graduates. The AIEN Institute at Shanghai Ocean University program teaches units identical to those taught at UTAS. All units offered at AIEN Institute are taught in English by experienced UTAS and AIEN academic staff and regular teaching visits are made by Tasmanian based academics. Students who choose to study during semester 5 will find that it starts much later than our onshore semester 2 (early September). Students may elect to use the intervening time as an opportunity to travel and experience more of China before they begin their studies at AIEN Institute. While semester 5 starts later than it does onshore, students will still have time to return to Tasmania ready to commence their next semester of study at UTAS.
