I am applying for your Summer Associate, Federal, Strategy and Operations position. After
attending Deloitte’s recent information session and subsequently meeting with GWU alumni and
recruiting team members, I am very interested in pursuing a career with Deloitte’s Federal
practice. Deloitte’s interest in professional growth through its training and mentoring programs
greatly assist in helping staff meet client needs. The focus on providing high quality services to
federal clients through significant employee training is an exceptional quality in a company that I
find compelling.
I am completing my MBA degree at the George Washington University School of Business, with
a concentration in Strategy and Operations. As project manager for a GWU Consulting Club pro
bono program with Children’s National Hospital, I am currently working with a team on
providing consulting services to bring a healthcare mobile application to market.
With over 4 years of experience working in pharmaceutical R & D, I have led projects to design
viable routes of expansion in services offered at a contract research/manufacturing organization.
In addition, I have led cross-functional teams at Simmons Biotech to support marketing in
promoting the company’s commercial product to physicians. These experiences have given me
insight into how to approach high variable tasks to achieve tangible results.
I believe that both my qualifications and interest in public sector consulting are a match for
