A stage. A red ball rolls on stage. It begins to bounce. The (unseen) audience thinks this is pretty lame. They boo it and throw stuff at it to convey their disapproval. The ball slowly stops bouncing and rolls dejectedly off stage. The next act is a spinning top. It enters the spot light and begins to spin. The audience thinks the same of it as they did the ball. It spins dejectedly off stage. The camera cuts to backstage and we here loud cheers for the unseen next act. The ball and top sit in the wings looking sad. The ball does a sad little bounce and the top does a sad little spin. Somehow, the ball gets flung into the air and lands on top of the top which begins to spin wildly. In an effort to stay balanced, it accidentally spins on stage, with the ball still on top of it. The two realize they’re on stage and the crowd goes silent in surprise. Then the ball starts bouncing (while still on top of the other) and the top starts spinning and their combined precarious act wins the audience’s appreciation.
