This Project will take the place of 2 of your current lowest daily assignments.
You will create a photo story book over Thanksgiving. Chemistry is all around us, so for your book, I want you to capture this on film. If you do not have access to a camera and printer, you may draw the pictures in the form of a comic strip. Your pictures must be narrated. Creativity will be rewarded.
For example: You go home and feed the dog some kibble. The physical properties would be color, smell, if it’s a solid, and you would take a picture before he eats it. Then you could take a picture of the dog with a fat and happy belly, or as he eating it, and describe how you know a chemical change is taking place. That would go in a separate section. You could also take a picture of your relatives cooking, the before and after, and if your grandparents have tarnished silver that could be in there too.
A word of caution: Please DO NOT intentionally do things to your relatives without their permission. The point of this is to find Chemistry in your everyday life, and I'm certain you won't have any trouble doing so.
