Children will be assessed throughout the week. TEKS: We will review objectives that were taught this 6 wks. week and assess children throughout the week. Learning Objectives: Circle Time: Children will review letters and sounds, shapes, numbers, counting, go over the calendar, days of the week, months of the year, and sing theme and seasonal songs, chants, and finger plays. We will review objectives taught and assess children throughout the week. Technology: We use the computer to listen to stories using C.D.s. We will listen to ABC songs, Shape Songs, and Number songs. We will also listen to seasonal and class stories on the computer. Academic Language/Key Vocabulary: November, Thanksgiving, Season, Native Americans, characteristics, Pilgrims, Mayflower, ship Lesson Activities (Which include opening activity, direct teach, critical writing, and small group talk) The children will participate in circle time activities daily. They will participate in Content Areas and Center activities once a week or as needed. The students will review objectives taught. We will assess students daily until each child has been assessed. Science: Children will review the five senses and their purpose. S. S. Children will learn about different ways people celebrate holidays. ABC Center - Children will make letters using play dough Creativity Center - Children will use different materials to create pictures. Library and Listening - Children will listen to stories using a CD. Construction Center Children will create structures using pattern blocks. Writer's Center - Children will trace their names.
