Welcome to 2nd Grade at Calhoun! I am so happy that you are in my class. We will be working
hard as well as having fun. In order for us to get better acquainted, I have a special plan. Attached to
this letter is a lunch bag. Please fill this bag with 5-10 special items that tell something important
about you. Bring it to school by Friday, August 21st to share with the class. Here are some suggestions:
Something in your favorite color
A picture of your family or pet
A favorite book
Something you collect
Something that tells about your favorite hobby/talent/sport
A wrapper from your favorite snack
Be creative! Just remember, the items must fit in the lunch bag. Use a picture instead of the
actual item if you need to. Also, please do not include any live or dangerous items.
We will have a great time learning more about each other!
