NEW WORDS:
Short “a” Words: ask, have, after, animal, than
REVIEW or SKILL WORDS: Short “i” Words: think, until, kick, with, sit
CURRICULUM WORDS: earth, lake, soil, water, sunlight
(All children must be able to read these words.
They will be highlighted if your child is required to spell them. See attached sheet for an explanation.)

Stair step your short “a” words.
Stair step your short “i” words.
(Please read the attached letter that
explains our spelling homework. We
will do homework together this week.)
Wednesday:
Thursday:
Put your short “a” and short “i”
words in ABC order.
Write all of your words two times for the
spelling test tomorrow. Pay careful
attention to the words you missed on the
pretest.
Read Henry and Mudge in your
reading book with an adult.
