WHEREAS: By-Law VI, Section 1. Establishment, 1.1 “The Senate Vacancy Committee is established to
publicize Senate vacancies, to schedule and coordinate the interviews of the applicants for the vacancies,
and to select the most qualified candidates to fill vacancies,” AND
WHEREAS: By-Law VI, Section 2. Membership, 2.1
“The Senate Vacancy Committee will consist of seven (7) voting members as follows:
2.1.1 The Association Vice President who shall serve as chairperson.
2.1.2 A senator from each of the four (4) schools and two (2) students at large appointed by the
Association President and approved by two-thirds (2/3) of the Student Senate.
2.2 One Association Advisor appointed by the President will serve in advisory capacity,” AND
WHEREAS: This committee will be responsible for determining the guidelines and procedures that the
committee will utilize, in accordance with By-Law VI, Section 4. Procedure, 4.4-4.5;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PITTSBURG STATE UNIVERSITY STUDENT SENATE
HERE ASSEMBLED: That the appointments of Senator Dandu to represent the College of Arts and
Sciences, Senator Bergkamp to represent the College of Education, Senator Halda to represent the
College of Business, Senator Feuerborn to represent the College of Technology, and Senator Cloninger
and Senator Higginbotham to represent the University at Large, on the Senate Vacancy Committee with
Vice President Herring serving as the chairperson.
