Jessica proposed an amendment for a shorter moratorium. It was accepted. DZ second. In favor of allowing Sigma to fully participate in formal recruitment: Delta Zeta. Xi Omicron Iota, Alpha Sigma Alpha. Motion did not pass. Discussion: GAMMA PHI BETA: Can their recruitment start a week later after formal recruitment for the 3 week period? Vote to take it back to Sigma to discuss: Majority approval. Points of Interest: Xi Omicron Iota wanted Sigma to fully participate in formal recruitment so it wouldn’t affect theirs. Alpha Delta Pi: wants to do the “1 day in formal recruitment then drop” process for Sigma. Propose another option to take back to Sigma: 1 full day, then drop, then a week off, then 3 week moratorium: Majority approval. Will be taking both options back to Sigma to discuss, and will be voting after we talk to them about their options. Will be voting second week of April. Molly moved to allow Sigma to recruit free seniors. Delta Zeta seconded . Approval: All chapters. Motion passed. Bailie moved to allow Sigma to pledge to total in Fall 2013. Alpha Chi Omega seconded. Approval: Majority approval. Motion passed. Meghan moved to vote that Panhellenic will not set our total prior to Sigma’s PR week. Alpha Delta Pi seconded . Approval: Majority. Motion passed. Bailie moved for Sigma to be allowed to recruit to average chapter size (175) during colonization . ADPI seconded. Approval: Majority. Motionpassed. Points of Interest: Bailie in favor of full participation: This will keep Sigma from recruiting fully during Xi Omicron Iota’s recruitment. Sigma already has a house and strong base in Springfield. A lot of legacies may drop to join Sigma if they don’t do full recruitment. Don’t want a lot of girls dropping in the beginning of the recruitment proposal. Jess: Sigma proposed all three options, saying they were completely open any of these options and to anything we were comfortable with. We will discuss this during the next meeting before voting the following week (second week of April) NEW BUSINESS Bailie moved to vote on New Member Day being September 29th during the next meeting.
