Homecoming Updates:
 Please see schedule in important dates
 Ideas to ensure that groups are balancing fun with academics?
o Make sure that you are talking with the chapter about their activities and level of
involvement
o Make sure that the members are realizing their commitment to academics as
well
o Utilize the faculty/ staff advisor
Midterm Grades:
 Status update
o With the new Banner system, we are not at a point where we can offer midterm
grades.
o I am working VERY hard on this however; the suggestion was made to have the
members self report to you all by using “mymissouristate”. They are able to print
off their own grades for your review.
o Additionally, once we are able to get reports from Banner, they are going to look
different and report different things. So be aware that midterm grade reporting
is going to look different from here on out.
Junior Greek:
 Interviews will take place this week
o They had over 70 applications and interviews – I am really excited about this
turnout.
New Member Day:
 Review of Day
o 75% of the new members were required to attend this event (at least the
chapter had to pay that amount)
o We had a pretty good turnout and it seemed that the new members really liked
the speaker
o The t-shirts this year were made to incorporate Bear Wear

o Beta Theta Pi would be invited to colonize in Spring 2011
o Pi Kappa Alpha would be invited if Beta Theta Pi declined
o All fraternities who presented have been contacted
Fraternity & Sorority Life Vision/ Long Range Plan
 Ideas?
o Justin from FIJI brought this idea up as some campuses do a rating system and
also include goal setting
o If anyone wants to help with this, that would be great
o It might be beneficial to get IFC/ PHA/ NPHC goals first and then work on setting
a vision for the entire community
o A committee of students, faculty, staff, and advisors would be helpful
