Electronic music and dub step specifically have been blowing up in the midwest a
and specifically Duluth and the north shore. I am a part of a production company, DS
Frequency and we are trying to "Change the Vibe of the Local Scene" and by doing
this website i think it will really help promote all of the events as well as show
people what Duluth, Minnesota's music scene is all about even if they could never
actually be here and see it in there own eyes.
the Regional Treatment Center in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
a 1981 Mercedes 240d. The vehicle is a cult item among bio-diesel enthusiasts. It
will show where the car has been on a google-map, what's under the hood, pictures
of the vehicle, current craigslist ads, and an interactive panoramic of the interior of
the car. The idea will be the user will be immersed in the sounds and feeling of a
classic automobile. All content is already shot and compiled.
state parks in the region of the twin ports as my idea. I specifically would like to
share the different seasons of the parks to show their beauty throughout the the
calender year and how they change.
Lake Wapogasset in Amery, WI (my hometown) and the scenes and activity around
it. I've taken pictures of the lake and the homes around it already, but I may switch
topics because with the timing of this project I won't be able to get pictures of
summer activities (which are more obvious) and won't quite reach the ice fishing
time of year.
dog sledding in Duluth. I believe that this is a topic that others can find very
interesting in the rest of the world. I know people from all over the nation come to
Duluth for some of the events that are held here, whether it be to participate or just
watch the races.
the mines of the iron range. Specifically the history of each of the mines as they
became more important to the life of people in northern minnesota. For each mine I
could use a different link and banner that would lead to a page with the history and
maybe a google maps location for each mine. The angle for this would be that most
people don't have the time or resources to physically visit the iron range but I know
a lot of people that have interest in mines and mining. These mines are very
important to the history of the United States, and it's a specific topic in a global
setting, hence glocalization.
the club me and my friends started a few years ago. It's based around a very old
Asian board game called Go. It wouldn't be very interesting if I talked just about Go,
but we have done other activities involving Go and other games that could be
interesting to others.

Chester Bowl Ski Jumps // The Ski jumps at Chester Bowl are famous, I would go
into some of the history and the events that happened there. In the last 10 days,
much of the structures were taken down to much controversy in the area.

viewing Duluth in terms of its diverse restaurant, and bar scene. Focusing on
everything from the the upscale bar culture, to the fine dining venues, to the popular
tourist restaurant destinations. Its a part of Duluth that most people probably aren't
that informed on and something that someone outside of Duluth would definitely be
interested in. I
