Example:
‘Then, to conceal the trembling in his hands, Robbie Turner walked on, and they followed him,
as they had followed him for two days now. Or was it three?’
Rewrite as a) 1st person narration, b) camera-eye view / external focalization, c) omniscient
narration / zero focalization.
a)
I had to get away from them or they’d see how my hands were trembling. But, of course,
they followed me, as they’d been doing for the last two days or so.
b)
Robbie Turner turned and walked away from the two men. They immediately followed him.
c)
Robbie couldn’t let the other men see that his hands were trembling. They needed
someone to take the lead and any sign of weakness would be fatal to his authority.
