August 25, 2015 Dear High School Art Educator, The Art Faculty at Southeast Missouri State University is pleased to announce this year’s 38th ANNUAL HIGH SCHOOL ART EXHIBITION. As a major Missouri University, it has been our honor to receive and further educate the students from your area schools. As always, we remain impressed with the fine work you do! The creative work of your students is a testament to your ongoing quality teaching and commitment. With your help, we would like to encourage your students to continue their art studies at the college level. Each year we host our High School Art Exhibition to celebrate the Visual Arts at the High School level. The art works will be received, installed, and once again, exhibited in the Rosemary Berkel and Harry L.Crisp II Museum at the Southeast Missouri State University River Campus. The Exhibition is designed for the exhibiting students to receive the recognition they deserve for their creative endeavors, while their family, friends, and teachers celebrate and encourage their hard work. This year we will again present a $1,000.00 scholarship to the student who receives the Annual High School Art Exhibition Best-In-Show Award to attend Southeast Missouri State University as an Art major for the 2016 Fall semester. To further award our incoming freshmen Art Students, we offer other scholarships available through the Art Department and the University. Please encourage your students to contact the University’s Financial Aid Office so they may be in the running for scholarships. Thank you so much for your dedication to encouraging artistic expression in our region.
