Henry will benefit from having our new up-to-date equipment available to students and staff in the classrooms and computer labs. We would like our students to become proficient in researching skills, being able to determine valid information. We would also like them to develop the skills necessary to be efficient researchers. This will help increase the amount of research that our students are able to do while at school as well as the ability to develop technology-enriched projects. In addition, opportunities for producing technology-rich projects including, but not limited to podcasting, blogs, wikis and digital cameras should be provided. Having more COWs available will be a huge benefit to our campus. Keeping students in their classes and bringing the technology to them make a huge difference in behavior, discipline and work effort. We plan to put more student computers (5-6) in all core subject classrooms. More professional development opportunities need to be made available to our faculty during professional development days. We need to better inform our teachers about workshops offered by the AISD IT Department during the school year as well as summer, eCampus, and TCEA in February. Campus Improvement Plan Alignment Our CIP aligns with our core curriculum. With the addition of our COW (and hopefully additional COWS), our science teachers are now able to conduct science research and apply it to their experiments directly in their classrooms. Our social studies teachers will now be able to utilize additional technology equipment for research projects Goal 1: Teaching and Learning Teaching & Learning focuses on the instructional needs of teachers and the learning needs of students in meeting the vision of technology in education.
