The ITRC, who is a teacher, supports campus technology and we rely on the district techs to help. The tech support is addressed during some planning time and after school hours to attend minor technical problems such as, network connection, printing, equipment and software installation and configuration, and all the regular communication and facilitator functions of ITRC role. Future Vision and Direction Three years from now at Winn Elementary School, you will see teachers using their laptops on a regular basis to collaborate, create and communicate. Teachers will regularly use their teacher web site and other online tools to keep parents and students informed. Parents will regularly access the online gradebook and other resources for information about their child. Classrooms will have integrated multimedia systems with document cameras and other interactive tools. All curriculum resources will be available online. Teachers will integrate technology into the core content areas with higher-level thinking on a weekly basis. Students will use technology to facilitate their own learning in a variety of different contexts (i.e., classroom, computer lab, library, and home). Eighty six percent or more of the fifth grade students will master the technology TEKS as measured via the 5th grade Technology Literacy Assessment. The campus administrators will communicate and promote a shared vision with regard to the importance of technology integration in student learning and achievement. The campus principal will allocate a certain amount of the campus budget to meeting campus technology needs, including having five or more computers in each classroom. Campus Improvement Plan Alignment Our teachers will learn to set up their AISD teacher webpage and update it at least one a semester. If they already have a website or a blog, they will post a link to it on their AISD teacher webpage. This will align with our CIP goal of increasing effective communication with parents and community members.
