It is planned that the Disability Awareness and Universal Design workshop will be delivered twice every academic year. A workshop on Implementing Universal Design in Module/Programme Planning will also be offered annually. Staff Training Greater awareness of the difficulties experienced by students with disabilities in UCD and how academic staff can work to alleviate some of the disadvantage experienced by these students. Increased awareness of the responsibilities of academic staff in UCD with regard to students with disabilities. An understanding of the principles of Universal Design for Instruction and how the implementation of these principles can result in numerous benefits for all students in UCD.
