DISTANCE EDUCATION AT DEGREE-GRANTING INSTITUTIONS: 2000-2001
The National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES) used the Postsecondary
Education Quick Information System (PEQIS) to provide current national estimates
on distance education at two- and four-year Title IV-eligible, degree-granting
institutions. In this latest report, distance education was defined as education or
training courses delivered to remote sites via audio, video, or computer technologies,
