I am looking forward to representing the MCC faculty in the SUNY Faculty
Council on Community Colleges. What motivated me to seek this position was the
opportunity to be involved in the discussions and decision-making processes related to
the many changes that are being proposed by the SUNY Administration, especially in the
area of assessment. I feel that my past work experience in the corporate world, as well as
my present responsibility as Senator and Chairperson of the ESOL and Foreign
Languages Department, are a solid foundation for this position and will prove useful in
serving in the FCCC’s committees. I will endeavor to represent MCC to the best of my
ability.
