Reading Recovery: Scaling Up What Works

Recruitment for
Year 3 Underway
Teachers in Training
Successfully Completing Year 2
Even with budgetary challenges in many school districts,
TWU was able to exceed our goal of training 50-80
teachers in the 2011-2012 school year, with a final total of
99 teachers currently completing their second semester of
training! Combined with the Year 1 total, TWU has
reached 47% of its 5-year goal!
Additionally, TWU is currently training three teacher
leaders under the provisions of the grant! These
additional teacher leaders will play an integral role in
scaling up the implementation of Reading Recovery.
