Girl Scout Program
What Can You Say Without Talking????
What does it take to communicate without speech? This fun workshop will be all about communication.
Girls will learn about non-verbal communication and body language. The American Sign Language
alphabet, some phrases, and even part of a song will be taught. We will also explore careers in Speech
Language Pathology, Education of the Deaf, and Audiology.
Program Level : Daisy, Brownie, Junior, and Cadette,
When: Saturdays October 03, 2015 and April 02, 2016 (same program each time)
Time: 9:00-12:00
Where: Texas Woman’s University – Denton Campus, Multi-Purpose Classroom Building (MCL) Corner of
Bell Ave and College Street. Room to be announced
Cost per girl: $5.00 (No cost for adults) Payment is due with registration – check or cash only. Make
checks and money orders out to SOCS. If you need to cancel, you must do so by 2 weeks prior to the
program you are attending to receive a full refund for the participants not attending.
Class size: Minimum – 5 Maximum – 25
