Each hiring manager should create a user
account
User account requests must be approved by
HR
Departmental Assistants should not have user
accounts unless they supervise someone.
Departmental Assistant may have Guest
access.


Establish New Position and Request Posting
Review Position and Request Posting
Modify Position (no posting)
Modify Position and Request Posting


Used when a new position is identified for
your department and there is no current
description for this position.
Example: You have been given a new
budgeted position that you need to classify
and post. Requires a critical hire form.

Demonstration


Use when you need to post a position but no
changes are necessary on the position
description.
Example: Your secretary has resigned and
you need to post the position with no
changes. Requires a critical hire form.


Used to make changes or update a current
job description without posting the position
Can sometimes cause a classification change
Must be approved by HR through
PeopleAdmin
Example: You want to reclassify an existing
position. No critical hire form is required.


Used when you need to modify or change a
vacant or open position for posting.
Example: Your secretary has resigned and
you need to modify the position and post for
a replacement. Requires a critical hire form.


Can view application, cover letter and other
submitted documents from all applicants
Hiring manager has ability to change the
status of the applicant to assist in the
selection process.
Ability to print any application or other
document as necessary


Hiring proposal is required once you have
identified a candidate that you wish to hire.
Hiring proposal must be approved through
the electronic approval process built into
PeopleAdmin.
You can check the status of your hiring
proposal by searching for it at any time.
Click on Search Hiring Proposals and click the
appropriate checkbox.


Change your password using the “Change
Password” link of the left navigation bar.
System will automatically log you out after 60
minutes of no activity but it is always
recommended that you log out when not
using the system.
Email notifications are sent to hiring
managers as requests are processed through
the system.

