These grants are designed to facilitate student travel to regional and national conferences where students present their original research in paper, poster, or other peer-reviewed form. The dispersal of conference reimbursement grants will be governed by the following guidelines: 1. Conference Reimbursement Grants are only available to currently enrolled undergraduate majors or minors in History or Government, and to graduate students in History or Government. 2. Students may apply for funds before or after their trip. Applications must be received within 6 months of travel. 3. All forms should be submitted to the Chair of the Department of History and Government. 4. Funds will only be given after a trip; receipts are needed for the reimbursement of any expenses. 5. To be eligible to receive reimbursement funds, students must have attended/ plan to attend a conference related to History, Government, or Law. 6. To be eligible to receive reimbursement funds, students must complete an application form 7. Students may apply for multiple conference reimbursement grants in a year. 8. Applications will be reviewed by a departmental committee 9. Priorities for funding will go to: a. Those presenting original research at conferences b. First-time student presenters c. Students with a 3.25 GPA or better d. Students presenting research at national conferences e. Students presenting research at regional conferences
