Ali Kujoory 6/30/2016 6 Xyplex Terminals & Servers • Xyplex MAXserver 1600 is a terminal server allowing access – The console ports of various network devices from remote computers • In each rack in front there is a Xyplex terminal in the patch panel connected to the console of hubs, switches, & routers in that station. • The Xyplex terminals in stations 1, 2, & 3 are served by the Xyplex MAXserver in the corresponding patch panel in the back of the room. Ali Kujoory Xyplex MAXserver 1600 • The Xyplex terminals in stations 4, 5, & 6 are served by the Xyplex MAXserver in the corresponding patch panel in the back of the room. 6/30/2016 7 Wiring Diagram of Patch Panel to Equipment Each Work Area Part of CS Dept/Campus 130.157.166.0/24 uses Ethernet 0 Patch Panel Xyplex 1600 1-8 192.168.200.11-18 Port=2000+100 n Private Network in ITL 192.168.200.0/24 uses Ethernet 1 Cisco 2900 On the racks at the end of the room OS, .. 192.168.200.1 Asante Racks in the back of the room contain the OS, servers, & devices shared by the entire lab.
