SFCC Becomes Member of National Coalition of Advanced Technology Centers
Santa Fe, NM, Tuesday, May 31, 2005 — Santa Fe Community College has been approved for
membership in the National Coalition of Advanced Technology Centers (NCATC), an affiliate
of the American Association of Community Colleges.
Membership in NCATC is reserved for colleges that are dedicated to excellence in service to
their business and industrial communities.
“The college’s faculty, staff and administration place great emphasis on work force and
economic development, and affiliation with NCATC will better allow us to benefit from the
nation’s best practices in education, training and business services for local employers and
employees,” said James McLaughlin, president of Santa Fe Community College.
NCATC has among its members more than 150 of the nation’s community and technical colleges
and universities and serves its membership through national and regional conferences,
newsletters, Resource Exchange Bulletins, monthly information e-mails, an Internet listserve,
and its membership assistance program. Santa Fe Community College will benefit from all these
membership features.
Santa Fe Community College has been serving the area’s work force and economic development
needs by offering customer service training as well as programs ranging from art to business
management, water technology and allied health.
