Department of Engineering Science MSCES Program General Information MSCES Graduation Requirements: All MSCES students are required to complete the following to graduate: • 24 (Plan A and Plan B) to 27 units (Plan C) in technical courses • 3 units in a business and management course • 1 unit in Internship, and, • 1 unit in Graduate Seminar. In addition, please note that in order to receive a Master’s Degree the University requires each student to meet the following: • Minimum of 23 units in residence at SSU • Minimum of 32 total units (including transferred courses and provisional Graduate credit taken as an undergraduate) • Minimum of 15 units at 500 level graduate work • Maximum of 9 units of Transfer, Correspondence, Extension, etc. • Minimum average of 3.00 GPA on the Completion of Requirements Form - no course with a grade lower than a C will count for graduate work • Clearance of Thesis, if required by graduate study plan • All courses on Completion of Requirements form are met within 7 year limit • No more than one-third of the units can be in non-traditional grading mode Once all the courses are completed, in order to apply for graduation, complete the Mater’s Degree Graduation Application Check MSCES Graduation for more information.
