Objectives:
Learn the use of Group Policy to control computer systems and user accounts. This will help to understand the granularity of power that is provided by group policy. You will: o Use group policy to control access to your server. o Deal with Local Group Policies (LPGO).
These can be applied in working with domain policies in the future.

A written narrative will also be turned in on the date shown above at the beginning of class. This is to be a separate document to the written assignment for answering questions given below .
1) Make screen shots of the process of creating the Kiosc, and describe what you did. You do not have to put this description into your Narrative, as it is a homework deliverable, and will be graded.
2) Describe the three levels of LGPO, and tell about the order of precedence that the system applies to the different LGPOs. In other words, why is it best for the Local LGPO to define the more general system settings, and what happens when the Administrator and User level LGPOs have conflicting settings?
3) Describe the differences between ADM and ADMX files. Why was the change made toward using ADMX files over ADM files?
4) Describe the four types of scripts that can be attached to a LGPO. What options do these four types offer? What is the process of attaching a script to an LGPO, such as one created for a regular User.
5) What are Client Side Extension files, and what part do they play in the process of Group
Policy for your local computer?
