Very helpful. I feel like I have improved with the help and encouragement of my supervisor.
My supervisor was always very helpful and persistent. She responded quickly and gave a lot of positive feedback that will
really prepare me for the future. I could tell that she knew a lot about about early education and she was always willing to
help. She was also very kind and I felt comfortable coming to her for help.
My supervisor was very knowledgeable and very helpful in providing a lot of feedback. She was very thorough and always
willing to help. I enjoyed working with her and learned a lot.

I really liked Carrie. She could relate to me and my experiences in the classroom. She brought back my confidence when it
was down.
I wish that instead of changing supervisors that we could keep the same one. I feel it would be easier to mark progress as
well as creating good communications and clear expectations.
I really liked the feedback I got back from my supervisor on all my assignments. Her guidance really helped me succeed
through the whole experience.
My supervisor tried getting a hold of my mentor, but my mentor never responded.
She was a great supervisor! Communication was hard sometimes, but she was very knowledgeable and gave constructive
and useful feedback. She was supportive and understanding.
Overall, my supervisor was good. There were times where I emailed her needing information, and not receiving an email
back in a timely manner. I didn't expect a response within a few hours, but sometimes it would take days for an answer that
I needed. Also, I understand that planning observation dates takes time, but when my first observation got rescheduled
multiple times and I was never informed of my second observation until the day of by my mentor teacher, I can't help but to
feel frustrated. My supervisor was great at providing me feedback and giving me tips on how to improve on directing the
class. She was also understanding that the students in my class had many behavior issues. Her personality was great, and I
would love to have her as a supervisor again if communication outside of the classroom improved.
Carrie was really nice and helpful throughout my practicum experience. She does seem have to have a lot going on and it
was a little difficult to arrange times to meet with her. Otherwise, she gave good feedback and was really helpful and
encouraging when things weren't always going as planned!
Carrie was so great. She really helped me along this quarter and was very understanding. She listened to my opinions and
respected them as well as added insights to them instead of criticizing me for having different teaching strategies which is
very rare for someone in this program to do. She helped me progress with writing my lesson plans and always gave me
something constructive to work on as well as things she really liked. I really enjoyed this quarter working with her!

In regards to this statement, "Based on my interactions with my mentor, it was clear that the university supervisor did a
good job of explaining goals, procedures, and expectations regarding the experience." I felt that my mentor had no idea
what her responsibilities were as a mentor and she was not provided with any important documents at all, such as the
syllabus with assignment descriptions, any of the evaluation forms or links, or even simply the lesson plan template that we
were asked to use. Now, I know a lot of the "informing" rests on my shoulders as the student-teacher; however, it should
not be my responsibility to tell my mentor what a mentor is supposed to do.

I was very blessed to have Emilie Camp as my internship supervisor.
Emilie was very professional in the way that she expressed her thoughts about her observations and gave feedback to help
me improve my teaching skills.
Emilie was a great help and she was always very flexible. She helped to make my classroom experience wonderful and
always gave good feedback.

Dr. C. could have given more positive feedback and guidance in emails or in response to the initial lessons. The response
was almost always "We will talk about that when I visit." and the interns had to had to have an element of unclarity until his
visit. More guidance would have been beneficial in the stressful early weeks, but I ended up growing as a teacher an
enormous amount regardless.
Thank you very much for assigning me to Dr. C. I really feel like I have really become the best teacher and the best
professional possible during this past experience, and without a doubt, his guidance helped me get where I am right now.
Thank you again!
It was obvious that Dr. C truly cared about my experience and wanted to help me get the most out of Internship and lead
teaching. He observed more than the required 2 times and stopped in unannounced to give me additional feedback.
Dr. Castelluccio was supportive, positive, and provided constructive feedback. I was fortunate to have him as a supervisor.
Dr. C. is such an informative and helpful supervisor! He is able to give constructive criticism and really helped me polish my
teaching techniques.
I really enjoyed working with him! I really gained a great deal from this experience.
I really appreciated the help, advice and time my supervisor spent working with me, helping guide me to becoming a better
educator through my teaching experience.
He was a great supervisor for this experience. He always had a lot of feedback to give and was always positive.

Ciolino was a great supervisor! He was very open about anything that he felt I needed to work on, and always gave positive
and helpful feedback!
My supervisor is AWESOME!!! The Lord knew I needed him to be my supervisor! I cannot express my gratefulness for such a
positive influence on my early teaching endeavors. :)
Mr. Ciolino was fun to work with and extremely helpful during observations. He gave me constructive criticism and also
helped me if I ever needed assistance with my placement.
Mr. Ciolino was a wonderful supervisor! He really wants his students to succeed.

Jan gave positive feedback when grading my lesson plans and helped me to develop throughout the quarter. She graded my
lesson plans in a timely fashion and was able to critique me based on personal experience.
My supervisor was very thoughtful. She offered constructive feedback. My supervisor spoke to me in a professional tone,
not a demeaning tone.

I really enjoyed having Dr. Jenner as my supervisor for preschool practicum. She gave constructive feedback that helped me
to further my education and improve my skills in writing lesson plans.
Linda was a great supervisor, very helpful when needed!
It was such a joy to work with Linda this quarter. Not only was she helpful but she helped me to deeply evaluate my work
and progress. She was kind yet constructive in her comments! Outstanding! Can't send my praise enough about this
supervisor.

Angela was very helpful and offered valuable feedback!
If I had any problems, Angela was there to provide feedback which helped me to make important decisions.
Did not form a good bond with her because she was not personable. She always mixed up when she was coming to observe.
She did accommodate to me missing a day due to broken elbow. She did not give much feedback to advice me for future
lessons. Overall was average but not great experience.

Response to emails early on to student teacher's inquiries was often "We will talk about that when I visit"

I really enjoyed having Amy as my supervisor for senior internship. I feel that she always gave beneficial and honest
feedback. Whenever I had a question she answered it in a prompt, professional manner. Amy is very knowledgeable of early
childhood content. Amy has high expectations for interns which helped me succeed this quarter. She was respectful of our
busy schedule and was flexible when I needed to change observation dates (class parties, conflicts, etc.) Amy was
understanding and I felt like she truly wanted to help me become a better future educator.
I truly enjoy the experience of working with my supervisor. She was a great resource! My supervisor gave my very valuable
feedback.

Perhaps because it was her first time supervising, Sharon seemed uninformed about many of the things we had questions
about (due dates, paperwork that needed to be sent in, format of assignments, etc.). It was also difficult to work with the
email policy (using only UC email to contact supervisors) because Sharon wasn't able to use her UC email. However, she was
very helpful when supervising and in the conferences afterward, and always gave encouragement and constructive
criticism.
I did not have the best experience with my supervisor. I think her intentions were good, but I felt at times I was being too
harshly criticized for things that shouldn't have been made into as big of an issue as it was. I know her intentions were to
better me overall, but the extreme measures she wanted to take at some points made me feel as though I was being singled
out.
Sharon is a wonderful person who provides an excellent amount of knowledge in the field to assist me as a student and a
teacher.
Sharon made me feel very comfortable during observations. She was very positive and gave suggestions and feedback while
always presenting the feedback in a positive way. She never made me feel nervous about her visits and was always very
help whenever I had any questions about assignments or tasks. She returned lessons and assignments quickly with plenty of
feedback to help me with future lesson planning. She offered good suggestions and helpful tips that were useful to me
while implementing whole group lessons.
My supervisor did not return my work to me in a timely fashion. She was involved in an automobile accident late in quarter,
which I understand caused her to take longer to return things, but prior to the accident I had only received two lessons
plans with comments back to me up to week 8.

Becky was great! She was very helpful! She provided me with information that was very helpful for my future! She was
always professional :) I would love to have her again as a supervisor!
My supervisor worked with me as much as possible during my preschool practicum. She was always available by email and
very open to giving me helpful advice.
Becky, was really helpful and supportive of my ideas. She was always willing to help. She always was willing to offer advice.
She went out of her way to make sure that she provided me with the correct information. I really enjoyed having her as my
supervisor.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with Becky. She is such a wonderful person, and she provides great feedback in every
situation.
My supervisor did a great job developing me into becoming a teacher. She had great comments on how I can better my
teaching skills. She always kept her comments positive and informative, I couldn't ask for a better supervisor.
My experiences with my university supervisor were extremely positive. She was always eager to help, answered emails
promptly and gave back useful feedback on all lesson plans.
After both preschool and kindergarten practicum, I realize that having a successful practicum experience has more to do
with the supervisor than the school and mentor teacher. Even though I had to deal with some tough situations at my
placement, Becky gave encouragement, support and advice. I am leaving kindergarten practicum more confident in my
abilities to teach, work with schools and other teachers, and write lesson plans.
She was very helpful with lessons as well as giving ideas to me while in my classroom. She gave me good feedback as well.

I enjoyed having Christina as my supervisor. She put a great deal of time into responding in detail to all of my lesson plans
and weekly reflections. She also provided great feedback after both of my observations.
I feel as if my supervisor was very negative in the things she critiqued me about. Her comments did not feel constructive to
me. She was not always clear on things I asked questions about and by the end of the quarter, I was hesitate to ask her
questions or read comments she made on my lessons and reflections because of the negative undertone that everything
had. I will be honest, I am disappointed with my supervisor and her lack of encouragement she provided this quarter. I
understand her role in this program is to evaluate, critique, and help me progress in to becoming a teacher, but I feel like
she could have done it differently and more efficiently without being so negative.

Julie was a great supervisor. She provided me with wonderful feedback and constructive criticism. I enjoyed working with
her!
Julie was a great supervisor! Very nice and helpful!
Julie was an amazing supervisor and I recommend her to any in coming teacher during their experiences.
Julie did an awesome job as my supervisor. Always willing to talk about anything that was going on in the classroom and
very helpful in all aspects.
She was a very nice and pleasant person to be around. She helped me utilize many good techniques for the classroom!
Considering this was her first time being a supervisor for this particular practicum experience, she did an excellent job.
My mentor did not seem to know what was going on at all.
My supervisor was very willing to answer questions that I had about my placement and lesson planning. She also gave
feedback I used to improve my lesson plans and my time in the classroom.
I had a very difficult class this quarter and struggled with management and emotional issues regarding situations in my
classroom. Julie was there with great advice when I needed her, I greatly appreciated her support.

Kathy was a wonderful supervisor. She was very helpful. Whenever I needed her she was there to answer my questions and
if she did not know the answer she would find it. She came out to visit me three times and she provided me with great
feedback. I am upset that she won’t be my supervisor next quarter.
Kathy was an outstanding supervisor. She was always there for us; giving advice to better our lessons, input on how to
better manage the classroom. She knows the field and applied her knowledge into her teachings and advice. Very caring
and really supported her candidates.
Great supervisor!
Kathy was great. She really helped me with my experience of being in a non-traditional classroom setting. She was very
prompt with all of her emails, and she was very helpful with her criticism and feedback. She was very personable and I am
sad that I do not get to work with her again! I always looked forward to her observations because they were very insightful
and very helpful to me.
