The center is exploring the questions
relating to the control and prevention of
terrorism. Included in this analysis are
methods for managing terrorist groups,
controlling support for terror, detecting and
suppressing new attacks, and removing
opportunities for such activities. In
addition, research will focus on risk
assessments and impacts of heightened
security.
Global Change
The Center for Global Change and
Governance is facilitating research that
explains what is different about the
sources and behavior of contemporary
terrorism and terrorists. The goal is to
develop an understanding of how terrorism
has evolved and what its contemporary
objectives have become.
School of Law-Newark
The center will facilitate analysis of the
laws developed by law enforcement that
are intended to suppress and control
terror. This work is drawing upon the legal
expertise of the law school faculty to
examine the legal responses to terrorism
and heightened security.
