Biological and Agricultural Engineering Industrial Internship Program
Guidelines and Expectations for Students
To qualify for participation in the BAE Industrial Internship Program a student must:
Have a GPA of at least 3.0.
Have completed all sophomore level BAE curriculum requirements before the
start of internship.
Turn in Internship Program Information Sheet and resume to obtain faculty
approval.
Read and understand the Engineering Code of Ethics
(see ABET code at www.abet.org)
While participating in the BAE Industrial Internship Program a student must:
Meet or exceed objectives set forth by the sponsoring company.
Adhere to the highest possible degree of professionalism in undertaking the
internship. The student is a representative of NC State University and must
maintain a level of conduct that reflects positively on the university.
Present oral and written report and create a poster about internship experience at
the end of the internship period.
Note: If academic credit is desired for research or industrial internship, please contact
Dr. Andrew Hale at 515-6760 or Heather Austin at 515-6710. You must complete a
memo of agreement the semester before you start the internship to be eligible for credit.
