Proposal to introduce a framework of common
designate/compulsory modules and bring together
existing MA courses within the department
Framework will aid viable cohorts and
rationalisation, 50+ modules to be archived on a
separate CM1 form
Trimester delivery model to attract international
students and blended delivery to enable distance
learning for some modules
Associated course deletions: MA Learning and
Teaching, MA Early Years Professional Practice
and MA Early Childhood Studies – students will be
given the choice to continue their studies on the
new framework or retain the existing MA title
No significant capital spend

Proposal to build upon the equine academic
provision offered at UCWA utilising the Equine
Therapy Centre
Proposed courses will directly replace FdSc and
BSc (Hons) Equine Studies
37% (135 credits) new modules, 33% (120 credits)
revised modules, 30% (105 credits) existing
modules
Proposed enhancements to the centre totalling
£53,700 (detailed on the planning form), these are
not essential for delivery of the courses
