DECISION
Proposal for a new postgraduate course
Proposed home/EU tuition fee of £6,500
international/non-EU tuition fee £10,300
Anticipated annual recruitment 20 students
The course is designed to accommodate the needs of
contemporary fashion designers on a global level
The course will offer two intake points to attract
international students
Links with Tsinghua University Beijing and Beijing
Institute of Fashion Technology including a visiting
sabbatical arrangement bringing a minimum of six
students for the new course
33% new modules, two new 30 credit modules
Significant investment in additional workshop space and
some library resource will be required

Proposal to validate two interim awards for an existing
already approved Masters course to become intended
awards for students to be recruited onto
Proposed home/EU tuition fee pro rata MA fee of £5,665
international/non-EU tuition fee pro rata £10,000,

The course will offer two intake points and face-to-face

Proposal to introduce a distance learning mode of
delivery to an existing already approved Masters course
Proposed standard distance learning tuition fee of
£5,950
Anticipated annual recruitment 20+ fte
The approved full time and part time delivery modes are
accredited by the Association for Project Management;
accreditation will be sought for the distance learning
mode of delivery
Proposal to enable practising managers and
professionals, especially internationals to undertake the
course; two intake points will be offered
The delivery of the course has been developed in
conjunction with Learning Development Services

Proposal for a new top up for franchise to UCH
Proposed home/EU tuition fee of £7,000
Anticipated annual recruitment 20 fte
The course will provide a progression route for the FdSc
Bioscience
21 students were recruited to the FdSc Bioscience in
September 2013
UCH has recruited three new staff to the FdSc at the
end of the 2013 who are suitably qualified to deliver the
top up (one with a relevant MSc and two with relevant
PhDs)
