CAREER SERVICES Using the eRecruiting Software in Your Job Search How to Register Go to Career Services web site at http://career.utk.edu and under Shortcuts click on eRecruiting login Your Username is your social security number with no hyphens or your email address and the Password is your 4-digit UT PIN Go through all parts of the Profile (view/edit profile data) section completing the information and checking yourself for accuracy. Click on Profile and a drop menu will appear. Click on the Documents choice located in the menu bar at the top of the screen and follow the directions to upload your resume; you may have multiple resumes in the database Be sure to also place your resume in the web resume book using the Publish A Resume choice also found under the Documents heading Participating in On-Campus Interviews Click on Jobs & Internships and under 1-Click Searches select “jobs with upcoming interview schedules” or “jobs with upcoming application deadlines” Click on each job title to see a more detailed description and scroll to the bottom of the screen to Apply You may apply for as many as you are interested in, but if selected for an interview you are committed to take the interview; you DO NOT decide at that time if you want the interview The system will keep a record of your transactions under the Applications heading If selected for an interview you will login to the program, click on Applications and then on Details to schedule your interview time NOT SCHEDULING AN INTERVIEW OR NOT SHOWING UP FOR AN INTERVIEW IS CONSIDERED BEING A NO SHOW AND MUST BE DISCUSSED WITH A DIRECTOR Viewing Job Postings Under Jobs & Internships you may click on Job Search and search for a variety of positions: part-time, summer/internships and fulltime One Click Searches offer the most options while Job Search lets you be more focused in your search. Remember being too specific can limit the choices You can also search by Employer Name or Industry To see part-time positions for UT click on See More Search Options under the Job Status choice and change the Job Status to Part Time and towards the bottom of the screen under the choice Show Me Jobs select Posted by My Career Center Only Calendar Enables you to see dates and times for employer information sessions, interviews, upcoming events, etc. Miscellaneous Tips Be sure you have selected to receive emails as this will send you info about being selected for an interview, to schedule your interview time and to remember your interview day/time Keep your resume(s) up-to-date in the database and in the web resume book Keep your Profile information current (ex. If graduation date changes remember to make change in two places—the Profile section and the resume)
