SUMMER FACULTY DEVELOPMENT GRANT PROPOSAL The overall purpose of the Summer Faculty Development Grant is to provide financial assistance to enable faculty members to attend workshops, seminars, and other educational opportunities to improve their effectiveness as faculty members at WTAMU. Such activities might include: attending workshops or seminars related to teaching improvement, improving course curriculum, academic leadership training, learning a new research tool, etc. Faculty interested in applying for a grant will need to do the following: 1. Complete the attached grant proposal form and return it to your Department Chair, who will then acknowledge its receipt and forward it to the Dean for evaluation by March 8, 2013. 2. Ask your Dean to rate your grant proposal, and send it to the chair of the Faculty Development Committee by March 18, 2013 (rating form for the Dean is attached). Within each college, the Dean will rate the proposals and approve or disapprove further consideration by the Faculty Development Committee. Each Dean will submit the approved proposals and ratings to the Faculty Development Committee Chair by March 18, 2013 (Please send to: Dr. Amy Andersen, Director of the Teaching Excellence Center, OM 414A) who will distribute copies to individual committee members for evaluation.
