Job Description: The faculty member teaches courses in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program and the associate degree programs (ADN) offered by the School of Nursing Duties and Responsibilities: Provide classroom and on-line instruction for a wide range of courses offered in the School of Nursing Participate in course coordination activities to assure the attainment of course outcomes Attend the college’s training seminars in order to become certified for teaching on-line courses Participate in curriculum development and revision, especially for on-line courses offered in the new BSN degree which will be offered starting in January, 2008 Participate in advisement of students Facilitate the evaluation of student learning at both the course level and at the program level Participate in both professional and community activities Serve on School of Nursing, Medical Center Campus and college-wide committees Participate in the implementation of college policies, procedures and guidelines Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements: Florida license or eligibility for a license as a registered nurse Bachelors and Masters degree in nursing required Doctorate in nursing or related field required Proficiency in technology related to instruction Familiarity with alternative instructional strategies Instructional experience at the baccalaureate level or higher Commitment to continued professional development Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
