RHODES/MARSHALL/MITCHELL
PRELIMINARY APPLICATION
These awards are based on both past accomplishments and the proposed plan of study in the UK or Ireland. The Center for
Undergraduate Research and Fellowships and the Villanova Prestigious Scholarship Committee evaluate the candidate on the
basis of a completed application and interview. This evaluation becomes part of your application. The Committee will
interview a number of applicants before making its final recommendation. Members of the Committee are prepared to
provide extensive assistance to recommended candidates in completing their application for the national selection process.
You may use one application for all of the scholarship nominations.
Students who would like to be considered for nomination for scholarships should register their intent to do so by returning
this application to the Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships (Garey 38) by 12:00 pm on Friday, April
15, 2016. Interviews will be held the on April 25, 2016.
Success in these competitions depends to a large degree on the specificity of the proposed plan of study. Thus you should start
as early as possible to design a program of study and to familiarize yourself with the country--and its resources--in which you
intend to study.
For questions about the scholarships or preparing your application, please contact a CURF representative.
