the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) is seeking white papers for Advanced
Software Engineering TechnologieS (ASETS) as part of the Software Producibility
Initiative (SWPI). SWPI is an ongoing program with the overall goal of improving
the Department of Defense's (DoD's) ability to design, build, test, and sustain
software-intensive systems that are large-scale, high complexity, highly reliable,
and operate in relevant military environments, which meet mission critical
requirements, safety critical requirements as well as exhibit predictable behavior.

The Advancing Informal STEM Learning (AISL) program seeks to advance new

experiences; and advance innovative research on and assessment of STEM
learning in informal environments.

The CISE Research Infrastructure (CRI) program drives discovery and learning in
the core CISE disciplines of the three participating CISE divisions by supporting the
creation and enhancement of world-class research infrastructure that will support
focused research agendas in computer and information science and engineering.
This infrastructure will enable CISE researchers to advance the frontiers of CISE
research. Further, through the CRI program CISE seeks to ensure that individuals
from a diverse range of academic institutions, including minority-serving and
predominantly undergraduate institutions, have access to such infrastructure.

Bioenergy Technologies Incubator 2 Funding Opportunity Announcement DEFOA-0001320
The overall strategic goal of the Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) is to
develop commercially viable bioenergy and bioproducts to enable sustainable,
nationwide production of biofuels that are compatible with today’s transportation
infrastructure, can reduce GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions relative to petroleumderived fuels, and can displace a share of petroleum-derived fuels to reduce U.S.
dependence on foreign oil and encourage the creation of a new domestic
bioenergy industry.

advancing the success and achieving the goals of the Power Africa Initiative. More

countries, are seeking to engage with interested parties to develop activities or
projects that can pool funds, talent, and resources from USAID, other government

ITEST is a program that promotes PreK-12 student interests and capacities to
participate in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and

selective spread of innovative strategies for engaging students in experiences
that: (1) increase student awareness of STEM and ICT careers; (2) motivate

knowledge of related content and skills (including critical thinking skills) needed
for entering the STEM workforce.

Applied Mathematics PD 10-1266
The Applied Mathematics program supports mathematics research motivated by
or having an effect on problems arising in science and engineering. Mathematical
merit and novelty, as well as breadth and quality of impact on applications, are
important factors. Proposals to develop critical mathematical techniques from
individual investigators as well as interdisciplinary teams are encouraged.

MSU MTRAC Program
Eligible projects span a broad range and generally fit under the USDA definition of
food, fuel & fiber or anything related to these areas, either as inputs or outputs.
Ideal candidates are MSU bio-based innovations that have the potential to create
superior value-added products and materials. Projects will have shown promise in
the laboratory, but need further development in order to become successful in a
competitive market. The goal of the MTRAC program is to assist in transitioning
these discoveries through to implementation where they can benefit society, with
emphasis given to commercialization in Michigan.
