Goal of the Course: To investigate, experiment, and research biological
concepts in order to provide a foundation for higher level science courses in high
school and beyond.
Requirements: You are to enter class each day prepared to work. You should
have at least 2 pencils, 2 pens, one -2 pocket folder, the academic diary, and
a science notebook. You are to have other supplies as needed. Students who
choose not to come to school prepared should not expect to be successful.
Absences: You are responsible for any work you miss due to an absence or
activity. It is your responsibility to find out what you missed and when the work
should be turned in.
Grades:
Grades are calculated using cumulative points. The points for each assignment
are recorded and then added up and divided by the total points possible. This
result is multiplied by 100 to give a percent. The percent corresponds to a letter
grade.
Your Points / Total Points Possible = Your Grade * 100
The grading scale:
100% - 90% = A
89% - 80% = B
79% - 70%
69% - 60%
Below 60%
=C
=D
=F
