Course Description:
Development of leadership skills and critical thinking
strategies that promote employment readiness, retention,
advancement, and promotion.

This class requires certain basic academic skills.

1. Equip the student with tools for Self Management

All examinations will be in class closed-book
MAKE-UP POLICY
It is expected that assignments will be completed on time.
Late work will be accepted with a grade reduction of 11
points.
There will be make-up opportunities for exams if the
student has a legitimate reason for missing an exam. The
instructor will determine the legitimacy of the reason for
missing an exam. There is no makeup on pop quizzes
regardless of the reason.

exams, the student will accomplish the entire student

Upon completion of this course, the student should be

Explain and apply the various theories, processes, and
functions of management; identify roles of leadership in
organizations; and recognize elements of the
communication process.

C = 79 - 70:
2 points per semester hour
IP (In Progress) is given only in certain developmental courses.
The student must re-enroll to receive credit. COM (Completed)
is given in non-credit and continuing education courses. To
compute grade point average (GPA), divide the total grade
points by the total number of semester hours attempted. The
grades "IP," "COM" and "I" do not affect GPA.

D = 69 - 60:
1 point per semester hour
59 and below = F
