Key features of this system include: the ability for permit applicants to register online, including payment of fees; automated management of possible launch dates; automated execution of lottery; and notification of winner applicants. While this system has largely been completed, numerous additional, highly desirable features and extensions have been identified during the development process. The purpose of the project extension proposed here is to fund development and deployment of these additional features. Key features to be provided via this extension include a more robust, flexible administrative interface to the system, more sophisticated and flexible mechanism for email notifications of users, and automated support for the final (post-lottery) permit processing and issuance steps.
