Under the conditions of this agreement, the National Park Service (hereafter referred to as NPS, or the Service) will utilize the services of personnel from Northern Arizona University (hereafter referred to as NAU, or the University) to prepare a National Register Nomination for Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site. A draft nomination for the National Register was completed for the historic site many years ago but was never finalized and has never been signed by the Arizona State Historic Preservation Office or the Keeper of the National Register. This document is critical to proper management of the historic site and its facilities through evaluation and listing of the contributing and noncontributing buildings, structures, and features in the district.
